An IT and AI strategy consultancy built on hands-on technical depth, pragmatic thinking, and direct communication — not on theory.
Most technology consulting is heavy on process and light on follow-through. We built TechStrategyLab to be the opposite: pragmatic, hands-on, and focused on outcomes you can actually use.
We combine deep technical grounding with business and leadership fluency, because the best technology strategy comes from people who have actually built and run the systems they're advising on — not just presented about them. Our work spans Enterprise Architecture, AI Strategy, and technology leadership, but the industries we serve are deliberately broad: the challenges of strategy, architecture, and AI readiness look remarkably similar across sectors.
Carlos founded TechStrategyLab after 18 years in the SAP consulting world, working his way up from hands-on developer to Enterprise Architect. That path shapes how the practice operates: he's written the code, integrated the systems, and later designed the architectures that others have to live with — so TechStrategyLab's advice is grounded in what actually holds up in production, not just in theory.
Most of that experience is rooted in Utilities and Energy companies across Germany and Switzerland — but TechStrategyLab is built to be industry-agnostic. The problems of technology strategy, architecture, and AI readiness look remarkably similar no matter the sector.
Several of these roles overlapped — for periods, Carlos worked in parallel as both Integration Architect and Enterprise Architect across different projects.
